The competition in Catalonia, which held its fifteenth edition on 20 and 21 April in Vic, has had the participation of more than 150 cheeses distributed in fifteen categories in competition.
The Vell Reserva from Formatges Muntanyola has been recognised at the Lactium 2024 Artisan Cheese Competition with a Silver medal in the category of hard goat’s cheese.
This new recognition adds to the achievements of a cheese that already has a gold medal at the World Cheese Awards, a silver medal in the Lactium Competition and three bronzes at the World Cheese Awards, Gourmet Quesos and Mundial du Fromage. These awards recognise not only the quality of the cheese, but also the effort and hard work of a consolidated team where each member contributes all their know-how and dedication.
